We are currently in Krabi, Thailand at Ao Nang beach. We just spent the previous week in Phuket, Thailand at Karon beach. We tried to follow a very strict schedule on most days as follows:
Sleep in no later than 10:00 AM
Yogurt by 11:00 AM
Beach by 12:00 PM
Relax in the room by 3:00 PM
Daily 7/11 trip by 5:00 PM (if you have been to Thailand beaches, this makes sense to you)
Sunset by 6:00 PM
Dinner by 7:00 PM (usually Subway's sub of the day- don't laugh)
Back to the room for more relaxation by 8 PM followed by another 7/11 trip just to make sure a new green tea flavor didn't get released
Bed by midnight
Phuket was a vacation away from our traveling. We loved sitting on the sand watching the sun fade away into the darkness. Luckily we have a few more islands lined up to fulfill all of our coastal and sunset needs. Please enjoy the following pictures.
Our first sunset before dinner

From the seafood restaurant we ate at

Our first full day on the beach. Gnarliest cloud we ever saw. The locals were frantically packing up their possessions, but it never actually stormed believe it or not

Two kids playing soccer while the sky was falling

Sailboat about to get eaten or so it would appear

Later that evening on Kata beach (just a 20 minute walk from our place)

Our walk to the Kata/ Karon viewpoint. As most of you probably remember, Thailand was hit by a tremendous tsunami that killed many people. Much of the damage was done in the area we stayed.

That's not a leaf... This is a leaf

Looks both ways before you cross the street

The view

Kata Noi beach

Get a room!

Just because its a beach vacation doesn't mean no exercise. We took a hike to the biggest Buddha statue on the island. They call this statue, "The Big Buddha."

Sorry that's the wrong picture, here you go

On the walk to The Big Buddha, we met a few friends.

Oh come on, now you are just trying to be cute

And later. Not sure I'd smell those shoes, but he sure enjoyed it

He also loved milk

Others pics from the hike through the jungle

Tropical fruits

Our final sunset from Phuket

Our goodbye dinner during a power outage. Kinda nice eating in the dark

Well it's back to 7/11 for some big gulps...See ya next time from Krabi
